Lincoln’s Construction program continues to build
The Lincoln Pre-Apprentice Construction students attended a MII (Masonry Institute of Iowa) field day at the Adel brick plant on Thursday Oct. 13th. The construction students tended the Iowa State University Architectural and Engineering students (150). The LHS students were mixing mortar, moving bricks, cleaning up after ISU students and given a tour of the brick plant. This class is supported by DMPS, Iowa LECET, Iowa Laborers Training and Education Fund and LIUNA. Students who complete the Pre-Apprentice Construction class, graduate and are 18 years of age are offered a job with the with the Laborers’ (LIUNA).
