LHS Students Participate in Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge

On Tuesday, March 1st, juniors Skyler Sanford, Spencer Davidson, Gage Dresch, and Cody Parker attended the 9th Annual Stock Market Challenge hosted by Junior Achievement. There were 28 different teams from around Iowa who competed in an activity which mirrors the New York Stock Exchange. Each group of students starts out with 26 fictitious stocks and $500,000 trading dollars to invest in their desired portfolios. Volunteers at the event act as floor traders.   The challenge is a fast-paced competition which is centered on a software system that simulates a 60 day cycle of the stock market. Competition is fierce, and the team from Lincoln enjoyed the high stakes and excitement of the event.
