Class Description
I am very happy to continue serving Lincoln High School as the Advanced Learning Consultant (formally known as the Gifted and Talented Consultant). I serve as an instructional and support professional who provides diagnostic educational evaluation, placement and programming recommendations and resources, and specific targeted interventions for identified students in accordance with Iowa Code. My role as a consultant is to maximize the high potential of all identified students as well as serving their cognitive and affective needs. I serve as an advocate working in collaboration with teachers and identified students, but also with building teams and administrators, department teams, district teams, parents, and community members. I am always available to meet with students and their families to address social and emotional needs, academic planning, and post-secondary planning throughout the year, so if you have any questions or concerns, please reach out!
