Anatomy and Physiology Students Study Blood Pressure

Ms. Wilson’s Physiology and Anatomy classes are learning about the importance of monitoring blood pressure. The students in this class had a productive lab class as they learned about using stethoscopes and Blood Pressure cuffs. Students learned what the blood pressure numbers meant and the consequences of untreated high blood pressure, during their Cardiovascular Unit of instruction.  Additionally, Ms. Wilson’s Advanced Placement students are studying Mendelian Genetics. These students studied genetics as they demonstrated the diversity of skin pigmentation and learned about polygenic inheritance and other extensions of Mendelian genetics.
