Lincoln Ballroom Dance Students Participate in Flash Mob

Lincoln students who are in the Ballroom Dance class were approached by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and asked to perform a flash mob dance during the JDRF walk downtown on February 16th. Academic Decathlon Team To Compete at State Tournament

“The Academic Decathlon team will go to the state competition March 1st and 2nd, held in Mt. Vernon, Iowa. This is the team’s fifth state meet in 6 years. Academic Decathlon consists of 10 events; six are multiple choice tests and the other four include speech, interview, essay, and “Super Quiz.” This year’s topic is Russia. The Lincoln High School Drama Department has been busy! Lincoln Drama students recently competed at the District IHSSA competition, with 11 groups earning an opportunity to compete at the State level. Drama students are also getting ready to perform at the IHSSA District Individual event and starting to prepare for their spring play. Spring Conferences

Spring Conferences will be held on Tuesday, March 12th from 3:15 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 13th from 3:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Conferences at Lincoln Main will all take place in the Roundhouse. Conferences at the Lincoln 9th Grade RAILS Academy will take place through the 9th grade building, with teachers in their individual classrooms.

First Semester Honor Roll

In the fall semester of the 2012-2013 school year, Lincoln had 395 students earn a place on the Honor Roll. 80 students in grades 9-12 earned all A’s for their first semester grades this year. 315 students in grades 9-12 earned all A’s and B’s for their first semester grades this year.
