Lincoln Art Students’ Projects

The talented Lincoln students in Mrs. Phillips drawing and painting classes have created some great artwork that can be found throughout the Lincoln Main Campus. Here are some of the many pieces you can find on display:

The acrylic paintings are self portraits that were taken in the art room and then posturizes to achieve the different levels of value. These artists are in Mrs. Phillips’ Drawing and Painting III and IV class.

The drawings on the board are a study using contour line to establish the 3D illusion of space and then elaborates with #2 pencils for the finished product. These artists are in Mrs. Phillips Drawing and Painting II class.

The drawings in the case are graphite drawings that were rendered from a photography and the emphasis displayed with colored pencil. The colored pencil was used on top of the graphite rendering to achieve a velvety, rich look. These artists are in Mrs. Phillips Drawing and Painting II and IV class.
