Academic Decathlon Team News

The  Academic Decathlon team represented Lincoln proudly at the state competition in Mt. Vernon. This was their 5th appearance at the state competition in the past 6 years! During the two day event, the team had to contend against twelve other teams in categories such as math, economics, language arts, art, and music. Luis Martinez, a sophomore, won a gold medal in Honors Interview and a bronze medal in Honors Speech. Three team members earned over 4,000 points apiece which were commendable scores. Team members include: Taylor Best, Luis Martinez, Kaitlin Tomlinson, Rigoberto Perez Jr., Daniel Lopez, Arianna Bullis, Miguel Chavez, and Jordan Sellers. Coach: Sandra Wilson.
