American Legion Speech Contest

LHS met up with and competed in the American Legion Speech contest on Thursday, November 20th. Ashley May took 1^st and Josie O’Conner-Miller took 2^nd. Ashley will advance to the Iowa regional level competition on either December 15^th or January 5^th. The Legion members were impressed that of the students they have heard, the students from Lincoln backed up our opinions with research. They also liked that we were prepared enough to have memorized our speeches.
