Lincoln Debate Results

The Lincoln Speech and Debate team ventured into the (Des Moines) North this weekend for their first Polar Bear Invitational since 2005. There were 17 schools in attendance from Iowa, Nebraska, and Missouri.

In Speech, the duo interp team of Giovanni Bahena and Phylicia Brown placed 3rd, Carlos Santiago placed 4th in HI, Ashley May placed 5th in OO while Everett Reed placed 6th in OO, and Ashley May placed 3rd in DI. Lincoln placed 3rd overall in the speech sweepstakes over metro rivals Des Moines East, North, and Roosevelt, Johnston, and others.

In debate, Ashley May placed 2nd in student congress while the pf team of Everett Reed and Seth Konkol went 3-3 in pf debate.
