Cross Country Teams Volunteer

On October 16 a group of Lincoln Boys and Girls Cross Country team members awoke early to volunteer and man a water station for the IMT Des Moines Full and Half Marathons.  This was the second year the teams have participated in this event.  The group was stationed on the north end of the SE 6th Street bridge and was charged with handing out water and Gatorade to thousands of runners.  The teams consider this a way of “giving back” to the Des Moines area running community. Their coach is 20th Century teacher Mr. Aaron Hohl.
