Lincoln Construction Students Visit Brick Plant

Students from Lincoln High school Pre Apprentice Construction class were invited by the Masonry Institute of Iowa to attend the Iowa State field trip to the Glen Gery brick plant in Redfield, Iowa. The Lincoln students tended to the ISU students as they were taught to lay brick. This is the 5th year for the Pre Apprentice class attending MII. The students are observed by Laborers Local and the Brick Layers union. Some students have been offered a job at this event. Students in attendance were: Joe Schafer, Devon Brackett, Seth Coder, Armando Garcia, Eli Gilbert, Dillan Lambert, Nick Masolini, Memphis Young and Josh Young. The Pre Apprentice class is working on the project out side the commons. When finished the students, faculty and staff will have a place to hang out, eat lunch and visit with friends.
