Mock Trial Qualifies for State!
Two Lincoln teams competed in the District Mock Trial Competition in Marshalltown on Thursday, March 5th. Team ONQ, made up of seniors Nathan Gordon, Spencer Johnson, and Andrew Svilpauskas, juniors Liz Cid and Cole Flaherty, sophomores Prabin Dhungel, Emma Donahey, and Reagan Judge, and freshman Heera Adhikari went undefeated, qualifying for the state tournament at the end of March. Liz Cid, Nathan Gordon, and Reagan Judge earned All-District Attorney awards. Prabin Dhungel, Emma Donahey, and Cole Flaherty earned All-District Witness awards. Nathan Gordon earned an honorable mention for All-District Witness. Team UZQ, made up of seniors Curtis Darr, juniors Isabel Blaskovich and Abigail Sealine, sophomores Cameron Aldrich, Liberty Marcum, Marian Mendez, Hla Paing, and Arlette Pena-Rivas, and freshman Bwanne Ciimban finished with a record of 1-1 and ended in 6th place overall. Curtis Darr earned an All-District Witness award. Cameron Aldrich, Isabel Blaskovich, and Arlette Pena-Rivas earned honorable mention for All-District Attorney and Hla Paing earned an honorable mention for All-District Witness.
