Knowledge Bowl Team Qualifies for Finals

Lincoln Knowledge Bowl Team

Des Moines Lincoln High School’s Knowledge Bowl Team qualified for the finals this week. The finals will be held at Merle Hay Mall on Thursday, November 1st, with competition beginning at 9 a.m.

For over 25 years, the schools within AEA11, here in Central Iowa, have competed against one another in a Knowledge Bowl Competition. All teams take a qualifying test online to earn the right to be amongst the top 12 teams that compete for the title of champion in their respective divisions. The finals are held to determine the winners in a day filled with head to head, academic competition. Des Moines Area Community College, DMACC, is the main sponsor and supporter this year and will award trophies, ribbon and up to three credit hours for classes to specified winners.

The team members include students Daniel Lopez, Cole Rehbain, Chris Funaro, Maggie Krebs, and Anthony Hoover.

The team sponsor is Lincoln Science teacher Sandy Wilson.
