Lincoln High School Hosts “Black Out Bullying” Awareness Week

***UPDATE*** Due to the weather, the Parent Night has been rescheduled for 7:00PM, Thursday, January 31 in the Commons. The RAILS Assembly will be held at 10:05AM.***
Lincoln students and staff are raising awareness about bullying with events during ‘Black Out Bullying’ Awareness Week. “The goal of the Bullying Awareness week is to engage students in a reflective process designed to educate and change their perspectives about bullying,” said Amber Boyd, School Improvement Leader at Lincoln. Lincoln Students Perform with the Isiserettes

Lincoln Wrestling Results

The Lincoln Wrestling Team participated in in the Ankeny Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, January 12th. Three Lincoln students placed first in their weight category: Nate Luna finished first in the 152 pound category, Luke Williamson finished first in the 145 pound category, and Tyler Powell finished first in the 106 pound category. “Black Out Bullying” Awareness Week

Lincoln’s “Black Out Bullying” Awareness Week will be the week of January 28th through February 1st, with parent night on Wednesday, January 30th. The goal of the week is to involve students in activities designed to educate and change their perspectives about forms of bullying. For more information, click here.

No School on January 21 and February 18

NO SCHOOL ON JANUARY 21 & FEBRUARY 18

The School Board has decided that classes should not be held in Des Moines Public School on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 21) and Presidents’ Day (February 18). This means there will be snow school for students, teachers and associates. Make-up days for weather cancellations will be held in early June.

RAIL Rewards

Lincoln students can now earn cool prizes for demonstrating positive behaviors!

Students will have the opportunity to earn a Rail Reward for demonstrating one or more of the 6 Pillars of Character. Staff will give students a reward ticket and students will be able to turn their ticket into the office for the chance to earn cool prizes in a weekly drawing. This is yet one more way that we reward good behavior here at Lincoln High School.
